THE FUTURE PEOPLE is the collaborative creative practice of the husband and wife team, Cameron and Rachael Van Dyke. Their common interests in design, architecture, entrepreneurship, education, fine art, theater, and community are the foundation of their collaboration. They integrate their practice into daily lifestyle choices in order to explore and test alternative solutions related to housing, transportation, and community.
Individually each of them has their own art and design practice. Cameron opened a design/fabrication studio in 1996 and has completed many furniture, cabinet, interior, and public art projects. He is currently focused on designing and building tiny houses and working to create intentional community. Cameron recently finished 8 years as an Assistant Professor of Industrial Design at Appalachian State University in Boone, NC. Rachael is a professional artist with gallery representation in Michigan, Kentucky and the Carolinas. More information on their individual pursuits can be found in the links below.
